IT Expert Andrew Hunt, Transforms Interactive Game into Big Business for MZInc
As part of MZInc's strategy to expand their e-commerce and
interactive marketing execution & strategy, they have added
programmer, IT, and applications expert, Andrew Hunt to their
excellent technical team.
Andrew Hunt brings extensive experience in multiple programming disciplines as well as
one of the most effective online marketing techniques, game marketing.
Game marketing is the practice of using interactive gaming to capture an audience and
deliver marketing messages. Mr. Hunt is as accomplished at this mainstream marketing
technique as he is with more traditional, so to speak, e-commerce business applications.
Andrew has been developing software since 1987. He received
his M.S. in Computer Science from New York University, and
has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
from the University of California, Berkeley. As co-founder
andTechnical Director of Black Hammer Productions, Mr. Hunt
oversaw the company's technical strategy and execution of
all projects for over 6 years. The work ranged from entertainment
and corporate CD-ROMs to complex web applications for e-commerce
and document request systems.
Prior to co-founding Black Hammer, Mr. Hunt began his programming
career developing financial applications for pricing fixed
income derivatives in C. He then shifted to developing early
multimedia projects such as interactive laserdisc libraries,
interactive animated games and database-driven apps for the
pharmaceutical and airline industries. Mr. Hunt has worked
on a number of CD-ROMs for publishers such as Microsoft and
the Smithsonian Institute in the years before the advent of
the Web.
Says MZInc President and CEO, Mira Zivkovich, "Andrew's
value add is that he allows us to be much more technologically
agile, not only able to suggest e-commerce and interactive
marketing strategies, but to execute them as part of an overall
integrated marketing plan. This is especially relevant considering
the growing demand for interactive games as a marketing tool.
We are realizing our goal of becoming a true one-stop, in-house,
integrated advertising and marketing firm."
